  • The 1861 Census shows Cook as a Publican and Joiner and the house described as an alehouse.
  • The 1871 Census shows him maintaining the alehouse as both Publican and Carpenter
  • The 1881 Census describes Henry Charles Cook as a Joiner and Wheelwright  aged 68, born Besthorpe, Nottingham.  There is no mention of the alehouse.
